Our district offers a diverse educational landscape for children and young people. With 58 elementary school, nine special schools, 23 secondary schools, eight grammar schools, two vocational school centers and ten vocational schools, we have a wide range of educational institutions. These also include Christian and private schools with a holistic learning concept.

The care of the youngest children is also very important to us. With 204 kindergartens, childminders and childminders, we offer comprehensive care - for every child.

Do you have school-age children?

In the Saxon school database, you can search for all public and independent schools in the Free State of Saxony by entering your place of residence.

Good to know:

Some municipalities regulate the choice of elementary school according to school districts, i.e. your future place of residence is decisive for the allocation of places. For secondary schools, there is generally a free choice of school.
